Following the broadcast of videos recorded by Julián Figueroa in which he exposes Imelda Tuñón hitting her own head, Joan Sebastian's former daughter-in-law lashed out at Marco Chacón, husband of Maribel Guardia, and stated that she is evaluating protecting herself with the Olimpia Law.
On social media, followers of the singer's widow questioned the origin of the videos released by entertainment journalist Javier Ceriani. Imelda Tuñón claimed that after Julián's death was revealed in April 2023, she was "misinformed" about what her rights were, suggesting that her husband's cell phone was not left in her possession.
She stated that as of today, she is unaware of "what other private videos of ours might be released out there, but I believe I can protect myself with the Olimpia Law".
In another response regarding the matter, the 29-year-old mother of Maribel Guardia's grandson lashed out at Marco Chacón, whom she accused of interrupting Julián's medical treatment months before his passing.
"The idiot Marco gave him a naltrexone implant at the beginning of 2023 and wouldn't let him do the therapy; Julián continued with the substances.
"First came the seizures, then paralysis of half his body, and finally, the heart attack. He left me without a husband and without a father for my son; I was only in the way," she said.
In the final months of the youngest son of Joan Sebastian's life, entertainment media reported that he had struggled with alcoholism and had reportedly checked into an addiction control center.
In some of the interviews she gave to the media, although she did not usually provide details about her personal life, Julián Figueroa clarified the allegations and claimed he had rehabilitated.
Now, with the reaction of Imelda's followers to the videos, the singer has taken it upon herself to respond to them. While in some comments she mentions that she no longer seeks to fight, in others she also attacks Maribel Guardia.
"I covered for him for a long time so as not to damage his career, and because Maribel would tell me not to provoke him if I knew he was aggressive," the young woman wrote, rekindling the old controversy over the mental health of Joan Sebastian's son.
It is worth noting that after the moment she allegedly self-harmed went viral, Imelda uploaded a video to her Instagram stories that appeared to be the first response to the controversy generated on social media.
"You don't always have to defend your truth to people committed to misunderstanding you," she highlighted.

According to Mexican federal authorities, the Olimpia Law is a set of reforms concentrated in the General Law on Women's Access to a Life Free of Violence, which seeks to punish crimes that "violate the sexual privacy of individuals through digital means, also known as cyber-violence."
