Rumors about a family relationship went viral because both share the same surname, both are from Culiacán, Sinaloa, and both dedicate themselves to social media by creating videos.
However, available information denies their relationship. It is known that Ana Gastélum does not have any brothers, but rather two sisters known as Victoria and Valeria. In fact, the influencer was celebrating one of her sisters' birthdays hours after the murder of César Gastélum.

Ana Gastélum is a 29-year-old influencer originally from Culiacán, Sinaloa. In addition to her social media presence, with more than 6 million followers on TikTok, she is known for being part of the Castro family, 'Los Toys,' due to her marriage to Kevin Castro.
Her name gained more relevance in 2024, after appearing on 'narcopanfletos' (narcopamphlets) distributed in Culiacán by 'La Mayiza.' Said flyers link her to the 'La Chapiza' faction of the Sinaloa Cartel as a close collaborator and for money laundering.
Like Ana, her husband 'El KC,' as well as Markitos Toys, Gmail Toys, José Ismael Toys, and Samuel Ibarra Toys, were linked to 'La Chapiza' and received death threats.
'The 'Los Sapitos' Cartel. Do you know them? Report them. These individuals are major financiers and very close collaborators of the 'Lacra' [La Chapiza or Los Chapitos]. We are coming for each and every one of you,' the pamphlet announces.
'To the general public, these people are not innocent. We kindly ask you to stay away from these YouTubers and stop supporting and watching their content, as these people finance 'Los Sapitos.' No more abuse of the people,' it adds, also calling them 'arrogant, front men, bullies, hallucinators, and violent.'
