Amidst and the first meeting he held with his father, King Charles III, accompanied by Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, royal experts have accused the prince of being “poisonous to the monarchy,” but why? What did he do?

Tom Bower, author and expert on the royal family, gave his opinion on Harry's recent visit to the United Kingdom to fulfill some commitments with the Invictus Games, and to visit his father after several controversies that affected the image of the monarchy internationally.

In an interview with The Daily Express, Bower accused Harry of being poison to the monarchy and of having affected the popularity of the following the multiple scandals sparked by his interviews and information against the Crown; he added that he continues to cause harm by showing up at Buckingham Palace as if nothing had happened in the last six years since they left their place in the institution.

“This man is poison to the monarchy, and I think that all the damage he and Meghan have caused in the last 5 years, yes, there has been even more damage, and the popularity of the monarchy has fallen,” Bower noted.

He added: “[The monarchy] needs to regain its popularity and the respect of the people. Harry's presence in Great Britain does nothing but undermine that effort.”

Last weekend it was reported that Harry and Meghan had arrived in London to fulfill some commitments linked to the Invictus Games, organized by the prince.

Reportedly, taking advantage of the visit, the couple had scheduled meetings with the King and Queen Camilla, the first meetings in years, following estrangement and media controversies, including allegations by Meghan against the royal family for alleged racism.

Bower is not the only one upset by Harry and Meghan's visit. In an interview with Sky News, presenter Mark Dolan claimed that Prince William is furious about the meeting between his father and his brother and added, according to sources close to the palace, that the heir to the throne has no intention of reconciling with Harry because he still considers him a traitor.

“It is my understanding that William is furious about this. Why? Because it is a reward for the betrayal, disloyalty, and cruelty of Harry and Meghan. I understand that Charles wants to see his grandchildren, but I think Harry and Meghan had no right to be on royal property,” Dolan noted.
