The Buck Moon is the full moon corresponding to the month of July. The Almanac notes that it has several names, all with a special meaning: Thunder Moon and Salmon Moon.

The Almanac notes that the names of this full moon come from different places, Native American and European influences. The names this phenomenon receives apply to the entire lunar month.
It is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer are in full growth during this season.

The Buck Moon will be visible from Mexico at exactly 8:36 AM, Central Time. But on the nights of July 28, 29, and 30, it can be seen above the horizon, large and bright, in a yellowish hue.
For July 29, the best time to see the full moon will be from the moment it rises, at 7:34 PM.
The phenomenon will be located over the constellation of Capricorn, in a low arc in the sky, notes Star Walk.
