Gilberto Mora became the sensation of the 2026 World Cup following his remarkable performance with the Mexican National Team. Now, having concluded his participation in the tournament and at only 17 years of age, he could be defining his future in Europe.

The child prodigy, as he was called on social media, is reportedly being watched by some of the most important clubs in English and Spanish football. Where would 'Morita' go to make history after his debut with Mexico?

According to information detailed by the football site Team Talk, which specializes in revealing signings within the international football industry, Arsenal is working on a potential signing of Morita, even though he has a current contract with Xolos de Tijuana. Apparently, the club is willing to pay what is necessary for the Mexican team to let him go before his contract ends in 2029.

But that would not be the only offer for Gil; Team Talk states that Liverpool has already been in contact with Mora and his representation team to reach a future agreement.

"According to some sources, from the Premier League contingent, Liverpool is 'very interested' and has already been in contact with them to establish the terms of the agreement, as well as the wishes of Mora himself," the outlet says.

Team Talk also states that Mora is on the radar of elite teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona. Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in launching an offer for the player; Manchester United also wants him in their ranks, but for now, the club is not willing to cover the "expected costs for any type of agreement," and their interest in the player from Chiapas is "long-term."

The outlet notes that other clubs have followed him closely in recent months, prior to his debut with El Tri in the World Cup, to evaluate his talent, such as Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and Ajax.

For now, Mora cannot sign any contract with foreign teams until he turns 18, which will happen on October 14, 2026, according to FIFA regulations.

It is estimated that the young Mexican has a value of up to 45 million dollars, a figure that has been fluctuating during his participation in the 2026 World Cup and the plays he made within the Mexican National Team that helped them advance to the round of 16.
