The death of influencer César Gastélum has caused shock on social media. It was reported that he was shot to death on Tuesday night while performing a challenge with two of his friends, which they were livestreaming from a KFC restaurant.
Authorities reported that the attack occurred in Tres Ríos, Culiacán, Sinaloa, when two people on a motorcycle approached the restaurant's drive-thru area and killed him in front of his friends.

Videos of the tragic moment have gone viral on social media, including a shot where he is shot directly in the head and another where one of his companions says he is afraid of the motorcycles passing through the area, especially one that leaves and returns a few minutes later to commit the crime.
Regarding this last shot, it has been commented that César and his friends "sensed" that something was going to happen, as one of them says he is afraid and feels sick when seeing the motorcyclists leave the area.
“Let's go, guys. No, the motorcycle, the motorcycle. I already felt really bad. Those guys scare me.” After this, the gunmen returned to the establishment's door to shoot César.
After the attack, Gastélum's companions suffered from nervous breakdowns, according to initial reports, and were attended to by paramedics.
The Attorney General's Office of the State of Sinaloa and the state police cordoned off the area to remove César's remains and begin investigations.

César Daniel Nolasco Gastélum, known on social media as @cesargastelum04 and by the nickname Compasexor, was a content creator from Sinaloa who gained great popularity thanks to his comedy videos and characters inspired by daily life and Sinaloan culture.
His success began with videos in which he played a peculiar neighborhood counselor who talked about personal relationships and common situations with a direct and humorous style.
Among his most popular characters were El Profe Alducin, a parody of a high school teacher; The Priest, who recreated confessions with a touch of humor; and The Son and the Mother, where he portrayed family conflicts with which many of his followers identified.

César Gastélum also drew attention on social media for posts in which he appeared wearing cowboy hats, a symbol that in recent years has been associated by some users with La Mayiza, a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel led by Ismael Zambada Sicairos, alias Mayito Flaco, amid the conflict it maintains with Los Chapitos.
In addition, on his TikTok account, he frequently shared content in which he appeared showing his hat collections; he was even seen wearing this accessory on the night of his murder.
After his murder, a video also resurfaced on X in which he is seen with other people while the phrase "Long live El Mayo" is heard.
On social media, versions emerged that linked him first to Los Chapitos and later to La Mayiza. However, those claims have not been confirmed by authorities, nor is there any public evidence to support them, so until now, the relationship of these factions to his death remains speculative and spread online.
