Colombian actress and businesswoman Sofía Vergara captured all eyes during the World Cup final held last Sunday at MetLife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where she shared the excitement of the match with thousands of fans.
Through her social media, the Modern Family star posted a series of photographs and videos that showed some of the most notable moments of her experience at the stadium. In the images, Vergara appears enjoying the festive atmosphere prior to the match that ended in a 1-0 victory for Spain.
For the occasion, the actress originally from Barranquilla chose a comfortable, summery outfit consisting of an eye-catching low-cut bustier, blue jeans, and white sneakers. She complemented her look with sunglasses and her signature loose hair, styled with a center part, a combination that quickly caught the attention of her followers.
During the sporting day, Sofía Vergara was accompanied by her son, Manolo González Vergara, as well as several close friends. The celebrity posed smiling for various photographs from the stands, sharing the thrill of one of the most important sporting events with her companions.
In other posts, she was also seen with her partner, Douglas Chabbott. The actress shared some selfies taken while the match was underway, in addition to an image in which she appears making a peace sign while they both embraced and enjoyed the football spectacle.
The Colombian star also took the opportunity to tag her friends Luis Balaguer and Alejandro Asen in her posts, both of whom were part of the experience. In addition to attending as a spectator, Vergara made a brief appearance on a special Telemundo broadcast, a network with which she has previously collaborated on promotional campaigns related to World Cup coverage. In the past, she even participated in commercials alongside actor Owen Wilson to promote the sporting event.
This is not the first time the performer has shown her passion for football. Weeks earlier, she had been seen among the attendees at another match of the tournament held in Los Angeles, where she witnessed the group stage match between the United States and Paraguay.
In previous interviews, the actress confessed that one of the biggest challenges of following the World Cup was getting enough tickets for family and friends interested in attending the matches. As she recounted, although the tournament allowed her to share time with her loved ones, the high demand for tickets also caused some headaches during the organization.
On another note, Sofía Vergara recently revealed that she had kept in touch with Shakira, who performed at halftime. The actress expressed her excitement to see the Colombian singer on stage and stated that she was convinced she would offer a memorable performance.
Vergara's appearance at the final came shortly after celebrating her birthday in Italy, a trip from which she also shared images with her followers. The actress thanked the numerous displays of affection received during that time and said she felt happy with the personal and professional moment she is going through.
