Even if we don't realize it, the Earth is transforming geologically every day, just as it has done for the nearly 4.54 billion years it has been in existence, according to scientific calculations. It is estimated that in the future, it will be nothing like what we know.

A simulation that has gone shows how the Earth will evolve and what it will look like in approximately one billion years. What will our home be like? Will humanity still exist?

Real Life Lore, on YouTube, has a video that shows the changes the Earth will undergo, marking the beginning and end of different stages of life, leading up to the planet's uninhabitability. It is estimated that it will not disappear, nor will it be absorbed, explode, or be destroyed, but rather it will evolve with no possible form of life.

The simulation is projected over a billion years, but the changes will begin to be noticeable sooner: within 10,000 years, humans will have evolved without borders and as a single race, with a single language.

"If current globalization trends continue, then human genetic variation will no longer be regionalized at this point, which means that all human genetic traits, such as skin and hair color, will be distributed equally throughout the world," the simulation points out.

Within 20,000 years, the predominant language will be composed of one out of every 100 key words from the current vocabulary. Beyond human topics, the Earth will suffer a new ice age within 50,000 years.

That is not all; the simulation predicts that within 100,000 years, humanity will have already migrated to Mars and other nearby planets, and the Earth will be in the midst of geological changes with massive volcanic eruptions, the disappearance of rock formations, and geographical changes to the continents.

In fact, in 250 million years, there will no longer be continents, but a single supercontinent called Pangea Ultima will exist.

In 600 million years there will be no ozone layer, which would cause a mass extinction; in 800 million years the Sun's excessive brightness will make photosynthesis for plants impossible; and in a billion years, the high temperature will make any type of life on Earth impossible, evaporating most of the water, with the exception of bodies of water at the poles.

¿Qué dice la NASA sobre la extinción humana en la Tierra y la evolución de ésta?

Scientists from the United States' National Aeronautics and Space Administration () point out that at some point, within approximately 5 billion years, the Sun could be the cause of planetary destruction.

The space agency has warned for years that the Sun will run out of energy and begin to die. When this happens, it will expand as a huge red star and explode as a Supernova, wiping out Mercury, Venus, and probably the Earth due to its proximity.

At this point, the Earth could indeed disappear from the space map after having lived through the hypothetical evolutions posed in the simulation.

Entre simulaciones y teorías de la NASA, Elon Musk tiene su propio fin del mundo

Recently, through his X account, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX said that the extinction of humanity could occur due to the collision of a large celestial body against the Earth, such as an asteroid, just as it happened when the dinosaurs went extinct nearly 66 million years ago.

"One of these days, a large comet will hit the Earth and destroy all life, as has happened many times in the past. Eventually, the sun will expand enough to boil the oceans and destroy all life," Musk wrote on social media.

In addition to warning about what could happen, the also stressed that humanity only has two options in the face of catastrophe: "become a space-faring civilization or die. Those are the two options."
